Office of Pollution Control

The Office of Pollution Control, as part of the Department of Environmental Quality is the agency charged with the responsibility of enforcing federal and state laws to "...conserve the air and water and to protect, maintain and improve the quality thereof for public use."

The Office of Pollution Control performs its assigned responsibilities through the primary activities of :

monitoring
compliance
financial/technical assistance

The staff continuously interacts with :
citizens of the state
other State and Federal agencies
local governments
industries
developers
other interested parties in performance of environmental protection and economic development assistance duties
