Class description
This one day workshop includes instruction on a wide variety of wastewater related safety issues. topics to be covered include Water-borne Diseases, Confined Spaces, Trenching, Chlorine Handling, Laboratory and General safety concerns.
Wastewater Facilities Management
Class description
This one day workshop will focus on the various aspects of management of wastewater treatment systems. Included in the discussion will be: General Management Practices, Personnel, Training, Planning, and Public Relations. Special emphasis will be given to Financial Management and Emergency Preparedness. Please bring a calculator as exercises may require calculations.

Class description
This two day workshop will focus on the design and operation of all types activated sludge treatment systems. Identification of problem conditions and corrective actions will be stressed.Hands-on problem solving case studies will be included. Attendees are requested to bring a calculator and a MS Wastewater Facilities Operations / Training Manual for reference.
Exam Preparation
Class description
This three day workshop will review the MS Wastewater Facilities Operations / Training Manual in preparation for the wastewater certification exam. The workshop includes three classes ( I, II, III/IV ) of instruction with emphasis on biological treatment and math. The classes are designed for those operators that have attended a Short Course or are otherwise familiar with the material. Students should review the Training Manual prior to attending to obtain the most benefit from the class. Attendees are requested to bring a calculator, a MS Wastewater Facilities Operations / Training Manual and a notebook to class. The class is followed the next day by an exam in all four classes.

This two day workshop provides instruction in general mathematics and the specific equations used in all four wastewater classifications such as: Area, Volume, Population Equivalents, Detention Time, Pounds, Percent Removal, Sludge Age and more. The session is divided into two groups with Class I and II in one group and Class III and IV in a second group. The two days are not only a good refresher for certified operators but very beneficial to those preparing to take an exam. Be sure to bring pencils and a calculator!!

This one day workshop will focus on the operation and maintenance procedures of various aspects of a typical municipal collection system. Included in the discussion will be topics such as gravity sewers, pump stations, inflow and infiltration, sanitary sewer overflows (SSO) and emergency operations.
Biosolids Management

In this one day workshop we will discuss the most common aspects of biological stabilization, dewatering and disposal of wastewater biosolids. The 40 CFR 503 regulations will be emphasized as they apply to land application and surface disposal, including monitoring, sampling and calculation procedures.
