On April 17 - 19, 2013, the Office of Pollution Control will present a Visible Emissions Evaluation training session (smoke school). Both first-time certification and recertification in EPA Test Method 9 will be offered. There is no fee charged for smoke school training.
First-time participants or persons holding no recent certification must pre-register and attend a classroom orientation session beginning at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2013, in Gallery C and D meeting room at the Regency Hotel & Conference Center, 400 Greymont Avenue, Jackson, Mississippi. Pre-register for classroom session by replying to Ms. Susan Royals via email (Susan_Royals@deq.state.ms.us) or Mr. Connie J. Simmons (Connie_Simmons@deq.state.ms.us) or by calling at (601) 961-5171. Please include the participant's name(s), company name, complete mailing address, contact number, and email address.
All persons desiring to certify or recertify must attend the outdoor session beginning at 08:00 AM, Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Smith-Wills Stadium parking lot next to the Mississippi Agricultural & Forestry Museum, Lakeland Drive (Hwy 25) near I-55, Jackson, Mississippi. Persons certified at the previous school are required only to attend the outdoor session. |
