General Solid Waste Guidance

The Solid Waste Policy, Planning, & Grants Branch of the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality administers a variety of programs related to ensuring proper solid waste management in Mississippi. These programs include the development of regulations, policies and guidance documents on solid waste management issues; the collection and publication of solid waste disposal facility reports; the oversight of local solid waste planning matters; programs for the training and certification of solid waste management professionals; and a variety of other programs addressing solid waste matters.
