MDEQ CELEBRATES CHILDREN’S HEALTH MONTH AT MISSISSIPPI CHILDREN’S MUSEUM
(JACKSON, Miss.) –The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) will have an exhibit this Saturday at the Mississippi Children’s Museum in Jackson to celebrate Children’s Health Month. MDEQ’s Environmental Resource Center will have information and games regarding environmental health issues that affect children.
The booth will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13. The public is encouraged to attend.
Children are more affected by pollution than adults for many reasons. They are smaller, their organ systems are still developing, and their play and learning behaviors expose them to additional environmental threats.
