MDEQ LIFTS WATER CONTACT ADVISORIES IN HARRISON COUNTY
There are no segments of beach under an advisory

(JACKSON, Miss.)
-- The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, has lifted a water contact advisories previously issued for the following stations:

● Sampling Station 12B -- Biloxi East Central Beach near Porter Avenue in Biloxi;

● Station 7 -- Pass Christian East Beach near Shadow Lawn Avenue in Pass Christian;

● Station 10 -- Gulfport Central Beach at the Armed Forces Retirement Center near Oak Avenue in Gulfport;

● Station 10 A -- Courthouse Road Beach near Courthouse Road west parking lot in Gulfport.

Water samples show the areas have attained acceptable bacteria levels. There are no segments of beach across the Mississippi Gulf Coast under an advisory. The Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, which performs water sampling of the Mississippi Gulf Coast beaches for MDEQ, notifies the agency when an area returns to acceptable levels and safe conditions.
