MDEQ TO HOST COMMUNITY INFORMATION MEETING IN LAUREL
(JACKSON, Miss.) – The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality’s (MDEQ) Office of Community Engagement will hold a Community Information Meeting on April 19 in Laurel. The meeting will be held to inform residents, local officials, and the business community about services offered by MDEQ to citizens from Clarke, Jasper, and Jones Counties.
The meeting is scheduled for April 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the L.T. Ellis Center on Victoria Avenue in Laurel.
“The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality is committed to ensuring local communities are informed and empowered concerning issues that have an impact on the environment and their health. We encourage everyone to attend the meeting, to ask questions, and to discuss issues with MDEQ and county representatives,” said Melissa Collier, Director of the Office of Community Engagement.
