MDEQ ANNOUNCES RECYCLING BINS RECIPIENTS Grants sponsored by the Alcoa Recycling Company, the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, the Mississippi Recycling Coalition, and the Southeast Recycling Development Council
(JACKSON, Miss.) -- The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) announced today the recipients of free 22-gallon plastic recycling bins after completing the review of the applicants. The bins are designed to increase the collection of recyclables including various paper products as well as aluminum, plastic, and glass containers. MDEQ along with the Alcoa Recycling Company, the Mississippi Recycling Coalition, and the Southeast Recycling Development Council are partners in providing the grants for the bins. Grant applicants can be schools, colleges, universities, and public and non-profit office buildings.
The recycling bins are being distributed beginning this week to the following:

●City of Okolona
●City of Olive Branch
●Rankin County Board of Supervisors
●City of Starkville
●City of Vicksburg
●Hancock North Central Elementary School
●Jackson Public School District
●Jefferson Middle School (Columbia)
●Gautier Middle School
●PTO - Saltillo Primary School
●Keep Clinton Beautiful
●Keep Copiah County Beautiful
●Keep Corinth-Alcorn Beautiful
●Union County Development Association
●Boys/Girls of the Club Gulf Coast
●Natchez-Adams County Community Alliance Foundation
