                  HARRISON COUNTY BEACH ADVISORY LIFTED

(JACKSON, Miss.) -- The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality
(MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, has lifted an advisory
previously issued for a station in Harrison County. The following location
is no longer under advisory:

●     Station 05 (near Lady Mary Avenue, Pass Christian), extent is from
     Fort Henry Avenue eastward to Elliott Avenue.

Water samples show the area has attained acceptable bacteria levels.
Swimmers are reminded that the Beach Task Force has a standing
recommendation that swimming not occur during or within 24 hours of a
significant rainfall event.

The Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, which performs water sampling of the
Mississippi Gulf Coast beaches for MDEQ, notifies the agency when an area
returns to acceptable levels and safe conditions. Information on the
