MDEQ LIFTS TWO BEACH ADVISORIES

(JACKSON, Miss.)
-- The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, has lifted advisories previously issued for the following stations:
● Station 6 -- near Church Avenue in Pass Christian;

● Station 12-B – located at Porter Avenue in Biloxi.

Water samples show the areas have attained acceptable bacteria levels. The Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, which performs water sampling of the Mississippi Gulf Coast beaches for MDEQ, notifies the agency when an area returns to acceptable levels and safe conditions.
