MDEQ AND MDMR REOPEN BAYOU CASOTTE
The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality and the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources lifted a fishing and water contact closure issued Sept. 2 for Bayou Casotte and the adjacent waters of the Mississippi Sound.
Water sampling conducted by the agencies indicates the water quality is back to within normal levels and public safety concerns no longer exist.
