MDEQ LIFTS BEACH CLOSURE FOR STATION IN HARRISON COUNTY

(JACKSON, Miss.)
-- The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, has lifted a beach closure issued May 18 for the following station:

● Station 12A - Biloxi West Central Beach -- near Rodenburg Avenue. The extent is from Travia Avenue east to Iberville Drive.

The precautionary beach closure was issued due to a sewer line break in Biloxi. Repairs by the city have been completed and samples indicate the water quality is acceptable.
