MDEQ Lifts Temporary Advisory For Brashear Creek In Ridgeland
(JACKSON, Miss.) –The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) has lifted a temporary water contact advisory issued May 10 for a section of Brashear Creek in Ridgeland from Rice Road to the confluence with the Pearl River.
The advisory was issued due to a sewage bypass near the intersection of Lake Harbor Drive and Harbor Drive.
Water sampling by MDEQ staff show bacteria levels in the area have returned to normal.
